User satisfaction 2.0 of 5.0

A virtual data room is just one of the services offered by Imprima along with asset lifecycle management and automated information retrieval. As far as the data room is concerned, Imprima makes a very bold statement claiming its data room to be the most secure in the industry. However, upon closer review, the VDR does not live up to its promise. Let’s take a closer look.

Imprima Data Room Review

The security features that are included in the Imprima data room are the same ones that come standard in pretty much any other data room out there. These features include ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, 256-bit encryption, secure single sign-on, and other features that have been around for quite a while now. The cutting-edge features included in truly innovative data rooms are remote shredding and “Fence view,” which serves as a physical barrier between the document and the user to prevent camera-based attacks. From looking at the security features that Imprima offers, it is hard to substantiate their claim that they are the most secure data room.

If we look at accessibility, Imprima does not offer a mobile app on either iOS or Android, which is inconvenient, to say the least. The pace at which transactions are being conducted nowadays requires having constant access to information and data, and without a mobile app, this is impossible. Imprima does offer granular access permissions, but there is no access expiration or access limited to a certain IP address. It is surprising that these features are missing especially given that they are not new or innovative by any means.

Imprima Data Room

While you have the option to request a live demo, Imprima does not offer a trial period. Without the ability to input your own data and try everything out for yourself you are really taking a gamble on buying this product. If you decide to buy and then later decide that it is not right for you, it could be too expensive to switch to something else. Essentially, you have to trust them that their product is intuitive and easy to use because there is no way you can find out before you buy. Therefore, when you are shopping around for data rooms, one of the first things you should look for is whether they offer a trial period.

Given all of the collected information, it is hard to see how Imprima can live up to its claim to be the most secure data room. The features that they are boasting about have been on the market for quite some time and do not address the threats that are dealt with today. The prices are on par with the market, but not offering a free trial is a bit strange. If you require accessing the data room on the go or even offline, it is hard to see how this data room would fit your needs.
